WAUSAU Financial Systems Honors 2013 Customer Achievement Award Winners
MOSINEE, Wis., April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WAUSAU Financial Systems, a premier provider of payment and receivables processing solutions, named four recipients of its annual Customer Achievement Awards, which recognize customers who use WAUSAU products and services to advance their business. This year's award recipients include FC&A Publishing, AARP, Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc., and San Jose Water Company.
"Our customers amaze and impress us each year in how they are winning in their markets," said Gary Cawthorne, president and CEO, WAUSAU Financial Systems. "We've seen them adopt new solution application models resulting in booming success and leverage our solutions in unique and innovative ways. It is with honor that we recognize their successes as leading the way with innovation and best practices for the industry."
The award recipients were recognized for their excellence in the following four categories:
Going Paperless
Category Winner: FC&A Publishing
FC&A Publishing, a direct-mail publisher in Peachtree City, Ga., challenged itself to reduce the paper it uses and to "electronify" as many items as possible using WAUSAU's Paperless solutions. FC&A Publishing streamlined business processes by decreasing paper handling, creating data for mainframe importing, providing real time reporting and insuring keying accuracy with data validation. The organization – leveraging WAUSAU's remittance processing technology – now captures 95 percent of all paper received in remittance in fewer hours, paring turnaround time of processing by three days. It also has improved document security while keeping the originated documents in-house, and has expedited the validation process.
Integrated Receivables
Category Winner: AARP
Some 37 million members strong, AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, D.C., and one of the largest direct marketers. AARP receives roughly three million inbound pieces of mail and processes 1.37 million transactions per month. Leveraging WAUSAU's Receivables360 solution, AARP has not only achieved same-day payment and information-processing timeframes for all mail, but it has eliminated 70 percent of manual keying for payment processing. Furthermore, it employs the system to process a variety of correspondences, including member surveys, advocacy fundraising and handling of signed petitions, among other activities, to reveal deeper insights into the membership base and improve customer service.
Expanding RDC
Category Winner: Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc.
This award, which recognizes a company that successfully leverages WAUSAU's RDC solution, was given to Susquehanna Bank, a regional financial services company in Lititz, Pa. that went live with mobile RDC in March. Within the first month, it had enrolled more than 1,500 customers. To manage real-time risks, Susquehanna uses Deposit 24/7 with integrated risk monitoring. The bank also has chosen WAUSAU's Merchant RDC offering to replace its existing technology and will transfer its merchant RDC customers later this year.
Creating Innovation
Category Winner: San Jose Water Company
San Jose Water Company (SJWC) uses WAUSAU solutions to improve customer service significantly as well as work satisfaction and productivity. They also free up valuable real estate, enable growth, reduce paper use and trim energy consumption for the San Jose, Calif., public utility. Since employing WAUSAU technology, the company has reduced utility rates by more than $1 million per year. Recently, for example, it put Deposit 24/7 Lockbox in place. It was the first use of WAUSAU's Remote Remittance Capture solution by a WAUSAU corporate outsourcing customer.
