Hitachi High Technologies America Customers to Benefit from Access to Industry-Leading Sample Preparation and Liquid Chromatography Columns
MILFORD, Mass., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT) and Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. ("HTA") have entered into an agreement granting HTA the ability to sell Waters® sample preparation and liquid chromatography (LC) columns to Hitachi users in North America effective immediately.
"This agreement with HTA will expand the access of Waters industry-leading laboratory chemistry and consumable technologies to a broader user-base that may not have had access previously," said Mark Groudas, Vice President Americas Operation for the Waters Division. "As an industry leader, Waters invests significant resources to deliver advanced solutions that help laboratory scientists successfully address their most difficult and routine separation challenges. Our position as a primary manufacturer of separations media assures our ability to consistently deliver reliability, quality products, and support second to none in the industry."
"At HTA, we welcome the opportunity to offer our users additional applications and to extend the capabilities of our chromatography products through Waters chemistries," said Kenji Osaki, VP/GM for the Life Sciences Division of HTA.
Beyond its significant research and development commitment, Waters is on the forefront of chromatography and mass spectrometry consumables because it is a primary manufacturer of its separations media. The company does not outsource this critical manufacturing process. This capability ensures Waters leads the industry in product reproducibility, as well as developing some of the most innovative new chemistries worldwide.
Waters proven sample preparation tools significantly enhance analyte signals and reduce unwanted noise by increasing sensitivity, reproducibility, or throughput of LC/MS systems. Furthermore, Waters industry-leading columns reduce time and cost per sample, while improving the quality of laboratory results.
