Watch Out Woeful Workspaces -- CSNOffice.com Contest Targets Awful Offices
Leading Online Retailer Launches Search for the Worst Workspace with $15,000+ in Prizes
BOSTON, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, CSN Stores, the No. 3 U.S. online retailer of home furnishings and housewares is launching "CSNOffice.com's Search for the Worst Workspace." From horrible home offices to cluttered cubicles, CSN is looking to rescue and revitalize four of the country's worst workspaces through prize packages worth more than $15,000. One grand prize will be awarded to the Absolute Worst Workspace, with three first place prizes going to the Worst Home Office, the Worst Traditional Office, and the Worst Student Workspace.
To get this initiative off the ground, CSN teamed up with Taniya Nayak, Interior Designer and Host of HGTV's Destination Design. Together, they will sift through all submissions and will make over the Absolute Worst Workspace through a $6,500 Herman Miller Prize Package, featuring an Airia Desk, an Airia Media Cabinet, an Eames Aluminum Group Chair, a Cognita Bench, and much, much more.
Just for entering the Search for the Worst Workspace, contestants will receive an exclusive coupon code for 15 percent off all office supplies at CSNOffice.com. This way, entrants will be able to get started on their very own office upgrade the second they've hit 'Submit.'
"When it comes to designing or setting up a workspace, most people focus primarily on functionality and ignore style and comfort," says Nayak. "The ideal workspace combines all three of these elements and that's exactly what we intend to do with these prize packages."
To enter the contest, participants just need to log onto www.csnoffice.com/worstworkspace or www.csnstores.com/worstworkspace and briefly describe their current workspace and why it needs to be overhauled. Entries must be received today through August 19th.
After the first stage, Taniya and the Worst Workspace panel of judges will choose state finalists, asking them to submit a picture of their workspace. The finalists' submissions will then be posted on Facebook.com/CSNStores or the CSN Stores Blog, where fans of CSN will be able to vote for their favorites. The submission with the highest number of fan votes will immediately catapult to Top 5 status.
The Worst Home Office will receive a $4,200 BDI Sequel Office Suite and $250 in CSNOffice.com Reward Dollars. The Worst Traditional Office will get a $2,300 Steelcase Prize Package, featuring a Currency Single Pedestal Desk, an L Desk Extension, a Mobile Pedestal, and a Think Chair. The Worst Student Workspace will be upgraded through over $2,000 in office essentials from Humanscale, including a Freedom Chair, a Foot Machine, and a Keyboard System.
Visitors to CSNOffice.com will discover one of CSN's latest sites, a one-stop shop for telecommuters, new business owners, and office managers. With over 50,000 office essentials online, including desks, drawers, seating, supplies and more, CSN Office caters to and serves businesses at all levels, from start-ups to mid-sized corporations. The site also carries thousands of items for college students, making it a great source for back-to-school shopping.
