Waste & Recycling News Launches 'Curbside Live' Online Newscast
DETROIT, Aug. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time ever, environmental professionals can start their week with an online newscast devoted to the waste and recycling industries.
Waste & Recycling News this month premiered "Curbside Live," a weekly video newscast hosted by WRN's reporters and editors.
"Waste and recycling professionals deserve the quality and variety of news that other industries enjoy," said John Campanelli, editor of Waste & Recycling News. "We've always led the way with news in print and online, and now it's time for a newscast."
"Curbside Live" can be found through the Waste & Recycling News' website at www.wasterecyclingnews.com/curbsidelive.html and on Waste & Recycling News' YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/WasteRecyclingNews.
A new show arrives each Monday. Newscasts include interviews with newsmakers, analysis from WRN editors and video from industry conferences. The first episodes have included stories as diverse as Waste Management's $425 million purchase of Oakleaf to a feature on a new garbage truck simulator video game.
"I love everything about 'Curbside Live,'" said Brennan Lafferty, publisher of Waste & Recycling News. "The digital medium, the ability for advertisers to use video to get their message across and the quick three minutes in which our editorial team uses to deliver news in a fun and informative style.
"I'm confident 'Curbside Live' will soon become a 'must see' by our audience, much like our print publication and our Daily Email. That makes me excited for our advertisers and sponsors who have a new way to get in front of their customers."
Wastequip Inc. is the premier advertising sponsor of "Curbside Live."
