Washington Women in Public Relations Announces 2014 Emerging Leaders Awards Finalists
Exceptional Young Professionals to be Honored at PR Society's Signature Event
WASHINGTON, July 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR), the leading professional society for women communicators in the greater capital area, announced six finalists for the fifth annual Emerging Leaders Awards (ELA). The ELA is a signature WWPR accolade that honors young women (ages 23-30) in the communications field who have made a significant impact on the industry. The award highlights not only their contributions thus far, but their potential to contribute to the industry for many years to come.
The 2014 WWPR Emerging Leaders Awards finalists are:

- Sara Neumann, Senior Director, C.Fox Communications (@sarajneumann)

From the six finalists, three Emerging Leaders Awards honorees will be named at the reception on Tuesday, July 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Zentan Restaurant. Registration is still open.
Attendees will be treated to a keynote address from Kim Kingsley, Chief Operating Officer for POLITICO. Kim oversees all of POLITICO's strategic and business operations. Since joining the company in 2006 as one of its first senior managers, she has helped grow the news enterprise from a 65-person start-up to one of the country's most dominant political news publications, now with more than 300 employees.
A panel of judges comprised of five top leaders in the communications field selected the finalists based on their record of excellence and achievements in their careers thus far, as well as their leadership qualities.
