Washington Virtual Academies Honor Class of 2011
Graduates plan to seek higher education at top universities and colleges across the country
TACOMA, Wash., June 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington Virtual Academies celebrated the graduation of 59 students as the class of 2011 on Sunday, June 12 in Tacoma at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center.
Student speeches were given by Connor Brown and Alan Terry of WAVA High School Monroe, and Yesenia Montes, valedictorian of WAVA High School Omak. Additionally, attendees heard from Dr. Art Himmler, superintendent of Omak School District, and Dr. Kenneth Hoover, superintendent of Monroe Public Schools, both sponsoring districts of WAVA.

Washington State University, Pierce College, Hope University, University of Montana, Grays Harbor College, and Colorado University.
