Washington Redskins Add Kayem Franks and Sausage to Game Day Roster
Kayem Signs New Multi-Year Deal as the Official Hot Dog and Sausage of the Washington Redskins Football Team and FedExField
WASHINGTON, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington Redskins fans can look forward to a delicious kickoff as football season ramps up. The Redskins and Kayem Foods announced today a new multi-year sponsorship and licensing agreement to manufacture and distribute Kayem Franks and Italian Sausage at FedExField during professional and college football games, concerts and featured events. The deal makes Kayem the official brand of franks and sausage of the Washington Redskins and FedExField.
The new agreement expands Kayem Foods' presence in the Nation's capital. In 2011, Kayem became the official hot dog and sausage of the Washington Nationals baseball team and Nationals Park. Kayem Franks and Sausage can also be found at BJ's Wholesale Clubs and in select restaurants and music venues in the D.C. area. The brand is looking to expand to other D.C. and Baltimore area grocery stores in the near future.
"The Redskins partnership marks an exciting time for us at Kayem Foods," said Bob Kufferman, Kayem Senior Brand Manager. "Not only are we thrilled to partner with such an accomplished team and brand, but becoming the official brand of the Redskins further expands our presence in the Washington D.C. area, allowing 85,000 new fans per game to enjoy a delicious Kayem Frank or Sausage."
Kayem Franks feature Kayem's special all-beef recipe, offering a unique blend of spices for a distinct bolder flavor. Kayem Italian Sausage features Kayem's proprietary pork recipe and offers a distinct hearty flavor as well. The plump and juicy franks and sausage have no fillers and are MSG and gluten free.
"We are proud to introduce our fans to the Kayem brand as we kick off the 2012 NFL season," said Mitch Gershman, Chief Marketing Officer, Washington Redskins. "Both the Redskins and Kayem enjoy a rich tradition with loyal fans on game day. Kayem has been a trusted brand for more than 100 years, and we know our fans will welcome the tried and true classic into Redskins Nation as they enjoy their game-day experience."
