Washington DC Property Management Companies Join Forces for Japan

BETHESDA, Md., April 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ROSS Management Services enlisted support from three other property management companies in and around the Washington, DC metro area to participate in a fund-raising effort for the International Red Cross Federation's  Japan earthquake relief effort. Teaming ROSS Management Services with Sawyer Realty Holdings LLC, Grady Management and A.J. Dwoskin & Associates, Inc., together they raised nearly $10,000 in three weekends for the charity's relief efforts.

"We felt this was an opportunity for us to not only reflect on how fortunate we are, but also to take action outside of our corporate structure to apply our core values of service, leadership and collaboration," says Brent Stephens, Director of Advertising and Corporate Communications at ROSS Management Services. "In fact, when the second set of earthquakes hit Japan, we decided to extend the fund-raising drive for another weekend."

The four companies agreed to donate the application fees collected at many of their communities in and around the Washington, DC metro area for the first two weekends in April. The story was so unique and compelling, The Washington Post did a profile about the collaboration of the four companies in its Ready to Rent Section during the first weekend in April. ROSS Management Services also ran a full-page advertisement, designed by the marketing department of Sawyer Realty Holdings LLC, in the publication about the fund-raising activity.
