Israel, who describes herself as a colorist, uses a combination of shapes, colors and various media to create artwork that supports the work, personality, brand positioning or attitude of a business.  One of Israel's most recent commissions was for Buyer's Edge, a District of Columbia area real estate buyer's brokerage firm. The company hired Israel to enhance the offices where they work and meet with clients. According to Buyer's Edge Vice President Dana Hollish Hill, "Our Company offers home buyers a different way to search for and purchase a home.  Our approach is clean, clear and fresh. We want buyers to see us a bright alternative to the traditional real estate firm."  At the Buyer's Edge office, an open floor plan and contemporary furnishings help carry that theme.  "Sue's paintings really set the mood and bring it all together," Hill notes.  "They unify the space while conveying a message that is upbeat, creative and inviting.  Our customers instantly know that we are not like anyone else."

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, her work has been commissioned by well-know corporations including Bloomingdales, Company Store and Gump's San Francisco.  She also creates custom paintings for residential applications and her work hangs in the homes of several celebrities.  She was represented by the Phyllis Kind Gallery in New York City.
