BOSTON, Aug. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Warner Communications, a world-class boutique public relations and communications firm, has recently spearheaded the public relations campaigns for a number of philanthropic programs on behalf of clients including: Crestron Electronics which supports the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, Arborjet and its "Taking Root" College Scholarship Program, and Cumberland Farms and its "Believe and Achieve" Scholarship Program. The belief that good deeds are good for business is a core value of the Warner public relations philosophy.
"Companies are beginning to appreciate the value that philanthropic programs can have for their business," said Carin Warner, Founder and President, Warner Communications. "Not only does it make their employees proud about where they work, but it also has a profound impact on public perception, increasing brand loyalty and trust. Effective and meaningful 'doing good' initiatives, with the right communications programs driving them, can further define, differentiate, and support their brands."
Warner promoted Crestron's partnership with Orbis international, a humanitarian organization dedicated to fighting blindness. Crestron donated $300,000 in AV and automation technology for Orbis's Flying Eye Hospital (FEH), enabling doctors to travel to underserved regions, perform surgeries and train local medical personnel onboard. Thanks to Crestron, medical professionals can watch this training and communicate with surgeons from any part of the plane, or from hospitals around the world. Warner promoted Crestron's initiative as the FEH embarked on a multi-city tour of the US, and orchestrated a dedicated media event with Crestron and Orbis at the Newark, NJ Airport.
Warner also recently helped Cumberland Farms celebrate the 10th anniversary of its "Believe and Achieve" Scholarship program. Every year, Cumberland Farms awards $1,000 scholarships to 130 high school seniors from throughout its eight state service area in an effort to make a college education more affordable. To date, the program has provided over $1 million in critical funds to students who have attended a wide range of colleges and universities. Warner created the "Believe and Achieve" Scholarship Program and has had the pleasure of promoting it, and each impressive class of scholarship recipients, since its inception.
In addition, Warner created the "Taking Root" College Scholarship Program for Arborjet, a company dedicated to preserving America's natural and urban forests and to providing the most effective and environmentally responsible solutions to promote overall plant health care. Now in its third year, Arborjet's "Taking Root" program awards $1,000 scholarships to 10 graduating seniors planning to pursue full-time studies in forestry, plant sciences, horticulture, entomology, environmental sciences, or a related major at an accredited college or university.
"The power of 'paying it forward' as a communications strategy is unmatched," added Ms. Warner. "Not only is altruism simply a good thing to do, but it can improve organizations' sales, lead generation, ability to navigate through crises, and much more."
