Walter Chesley Joins Blue Cross Board of Trustees

EAGAN, Minn., March 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) board of trustees has elected Walter Chesley, senior vice president of human resources, training and development for Universal Hospital Services, Inc. (UHS) to its board of trustees.

Chesley joined UHS in 2003 and is accountable for human resources, training and development, and corporate compliance. Prior to UHS, he was vice president of human resources and chief administrative officer for Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Before that, Chesley was vice president, human resources for Ceridian Corporation. Earlier in his career, he was assistant vice president of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation and Reuben H. Donnelley directory publishing division.

Chesley serves as chair of the board of directors of Community Health Charities-Minnesota, president-elect of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest and is a board member of the YMCA of Greater Minneapolis.

Chesley has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications and public relations from Boston University and a Juris Doctor degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
