CHICAGO, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 9, join Walmart's Michael Duke as he accepts the 2014 International Executive of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions in driving meaningful change while CEO of the world's largest company.
Each year, The Executives' Club of Chicago honors an individual whose exemplary leadership has resulted in significant contributions to his / her company and to the global business community with the International Executive of the Year Award. Past honorees include: Bill Gates, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation; Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan; and Daniel Servitje, Chairman and CEO of Grupo Bimbo.

Michael Duke currently serves as Walmart's Chairman of the executive committee of the board. Duke was President and CEO of Walmart from 2009 to 2014. Since joining Walmart in 1995, Duke has led the logistics, distribution and administration divisions as well as Walmart U.S. From 2005 to 2009, he served as Vice Chairman of the company and President and CEO of Walmart International. Prior to joining Walmart, Mike had 23 years of experience in retailing with Federated Department Stores and May Department Stores.
