Walmart Offers 10-Cents-a-Gallon Gas Savings at Participating Florida Stations

90-Day Price Rollback Launches for Holiday Weekend

BENTONVILLE, Ark., June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Walmart announces a 90-day price Rollback to give Florida customers a savings of 10 cents a gallon on all fuel, gas and diesel, at more than 80 participating Murphy USA gas stations statewide. The program will run from June 30 through September 30, 2011, and allows Walmart credit card users to receive a 10-cent statement rebate when they use their Walmart credit card at a participating station.

In addition, customers can save using the Walmart Gift Card or the Walmart MoneyCard. The Walmart Gift Card gas program is now a 5-cent discount at the pump; and there is a new 5-cent per gallon gas discount when using the Walmart MoneyCard.

"Our customers have told us that high gas prices are their top budget concern, nearly as large of an expense to their household as food and groceries," said Stephen Quinn, chief marketing officer. "We listen to our customers and because we know they are feeling squeezed by gas prices, we're implementing this gas Rollback program to help them save, especially during high travel summer months.

"It's important to us that we extend this offer to everyone, not just Walmart customers shopping in our stores, without requiring any other type of purchase," said Quinn. "Our goal is to make it easy to save and live better for everyone, and we think this gas program is leading in the market because it doesn't require any additional purchase."

In 18 other states, customers who use the Walmart family of cards to buy gas at participating gas stations will immediately save 10 cents a gallon on gas purchases right at the pump, with no other restrictions or requirements.

Those states are:


Arkansas Georgia Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa Kentucky Louisiana Michigan	Mississippi Missouri New Mexico North Carolina Ohio South Carolina Tennessee Texas Virginia

In Alabama, Walmart credit card users will also receive a 10-cent statement rebate when they use their Walmart credit card at a participating station; there is no program applicable for the Walmart gift card of Walmart MoneyCard because of state restrictions.
