Walker Windows Named Dealer of the Year by Window & Door Magazine

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Window & Door magazine announced Walker Windows as Dealer of the Year for Overall Excellence. Walker Windows was recognized for "Leadership in the Professional Market."

Jenkins started Walker Windows in 1999 from a small apartment in Huntington Beach as a salesman for a manufacturer, selling direct to new home builders. "I started in multifamily apartments because that's where my customer base was. We grew it from there, got our name out in the market and started taking on some single-family builders," said Jenkins. Today Walker Windows employs 24 full-time employees.

Jeremy Flynn, Sales Manager with Milgard Windows & Doors, points out that Jenkins' commitment to partnering with customers sets Walker Windows apart during a market in which many competitors are scrambling to grab a limited number of jobs. Walker Windows is now located in a 28,000 square foot facility in Anaheim, California.  With this space, Walker Windows is able to provide flexibility and services to its customers that other window dealers do not.

Walker Windows is also quick to get involved with community service projects brought to the company from vendors or customers. They recently partnered with Milgard Windows & Doors to provide windows for Laura's House, an emergency shelter in Orange County, Calif., for families impacted by domestic violence.
