Walker & Dunlop Hires Senior Vice President and Staff to Join Capital Markets Team in New South Florida Office

BETHESDA, Md., May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) (the "Company") announced today that it has hired Albert G. Rex as senior vice president in its Capital Markets division. Mr. Rex will manage the Company's new Fort Lauderdale office and manage the recently hired team of mortgage bankers there. Together, the team will focus on financing all types of income-producing properties including office, apartments, hotels, industrial and retail in the southeast region.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Rex was senior vice president at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital where he managed the Fort Lauderdale production office and served on the Board of Managers. Previously, Mr. Rex was an executive managing director with Collateral Real Estate Capital, LLC, which merged with Laureate Capital, LLC to form Grandbridge. He played an integral role in the formation of the CareyKramer Company, where he specialized in originating commercial real estate finance equity and investment sales for all property types, and was directly responsible for the firm's expansion in Florida. Mr. Rex holds a dual bachelor's degree in real estate and finance from the University of Florida.
