Walk to Remember and Celebrate Life
CLEVELAND, June 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hospice of the Western Reserve's first Walk to Remember (http://www.hospicewr.org/walk) sponsored by FirstMerit Bank is scheduled for Sunday, September 9, at the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo. Whether a walker has known someone who benefited from the agency's care and services, or simply wants to honor a dear family member or friend, this walk offers a wonderful way to celebrate life and remember loved ones in a way that gives back to other patients and families.

Each walker is asked to raise or donate a minimum of $25. Participation includes entrance to the Zoo and Rainforest for the entire day. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; the Walk kicks off at 8:30 a.m. Walkers will be treated to a complimentary pancake breakfast immediately following the Walk. At the end of the event, one lucky winning raffle ticket will be drawn for a 1937 Jaguar Replicar. The car, donated by the grateful family of a former Hospice of the Western Reserve patient, is intended to raise funds to help other patients and families being cared for by the agency. Starting June 23, tickets can be purchased online for $10.

The site enables participants to register as a single walker or build a team, share their profile with friends, track donations and much more.
