OVERLAND PARK, Kan. and DEERFIELD, Ill., Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Walgreens and Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced an expansion of the collaboration they had announced earlier this year, that will include 80 new locations. All of the new Sprint Express at Walgreens stores will be throughout Chicagoland and the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area, and are planned to open by the end of the year.
Sprint Express will provide wireless services and expertise to Walgreens customers in the neighborhoods where they live and work, with expertly-trained Sprint mobile tech specialists. Services include:
- advice on mobile services and products, including accessories, that best meet customers' needs
- support, access and education regarding Walgreens award-winning mobile app and its features
- wireless services available to anyone via curated postpaid and prepaid plans/service options to fit any individual or family budget, including plans offered through Assurance Wireless, a federal government supported Lifeline Assistance Program
Additional details on specific store locations and product and service offerings will be announced later this fall. In addition, the companies continue to explore other potential collaboration opportunities.
