Walden University's Information Security Courses Receive NSA/CNSS National Training Standards Certification
MINNEAPOLIS, July 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Walden University announced today that the National Security Administration (NSA) has certified that courseware within Walden's information security degree specializations and concentrations meets all elements of its Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) National Training Standards. The certification is awarded through NSA's Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) program, which provides consistency in training and education for the information assurance skills critical to the nation.

The nationally recognized certification indicates that students completing these courses will possess a working knowledge of INFOSEC principles and practices; an understanding of the threats and vulnerabilities of national security information systems; the ability to design, execute or evaluate INFOSEC security procedures and practices; and the knowledge to describe and apply the appropriate actions to manage and administer information systems in a secure manner.
Walden University's information security degree specializations and concentrations include the B.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Security and Forensics, M.S. in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Security and Master of Information Systems Management (M.I.S.M.) with a specialization in Enterprise Information Security.
