Wainhouse Research Collaboration Summit Moves to Philadelphia
Annual Summit focuses on videoconferencing and other cost-saving technologies.
PHILADELPHIA, June 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wainhouse Research, a market analyst firm that specializes in emerging trends and technologies used by global companies to power workplace collaboration, videoconferencing and unified communications, is holding its 11th annual North American Collaboration Summit at Philadelphia city center's Double Tree Hotel from July 19 to 20.
"The summit will provide an overview of the latest videoconferencing and related communication tools driving cost savings and business transformation for regional, national and global companies and organizations," says Andrew W. Davis, Senior Partner at Wainhouse Research and Summit organizer.
"We are excited about Philadelphia as a venue," adds Davis. "The city offers a unique opportunity to reach out to the pharmaceutical industry, legal and financial services firms, and local, state, and federal government agencies. All of these enterprises are looking for ways to use communications solutions to become more efficient while enabling remote and home workers at the same time. The Summit agenda will provide some unique insights into these issues."
The Duxbury, Mass., based firm has held the annual Summit meeting in Boston and San Francisco annually since 2001. It selected Philadelphia this year to provide greater access to local, New York and Washington, D.C., based companies, as well as local, state and federal government agencies seeking to incorporate these technologies.
"This year's summit will focus on moving video and unified communications into the enterprise mainstream to drive business transformation and will address both the challenges and the solutions to these challenges facing business," says Davis.
Keynote speaker, Hon. Justice Seamus McCaffery of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, will discuss how information technology solutions are in the process of transforming the way the state's court system operates.
"The Pennsylvania state court system is a leader in implementing videoconferencing technology to conduct preliminary arraignments and other court proceedings, saving state taxpayers an estimated $21 million annually," says Davis.
The agenda includes case studies from a variety of local, national and international customers, analysts, and industry experts from the vendor community, including Bristol Myers Squibb, the law firm of Stevens & Lee LLP, Language Services Associates, Pfizer, Aviva Insurance, Case Western Reserve University, Internet2, Arizona State University, Cardinal Health, and SAS Software.
The conference will be available free via live stream by York Telecom of New Jersey. For more information on the agenda and to register, visit www.wainhouse.com/philly2011.
