The Vuzix Blade leverages our intellectual property patent portfolio and leadership position in the area of optics, head mounted displays and smart glasses, which allows Vuzix to bring to market the world's smallest and sleekest pair of AR smart glasses ever developed. The Vuzix Blade weighs in at less than 3 oz. and is expected to ship commercially in early 2018. 

Alexa is Amazon's cloud-based voice service and we are excited to announce the Vuzix Blade will be Alexa-enabled so you can talk to Amazon Alexa on your Smart Sunglasses. With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear and display the news or weather, control smart home devices, and more. Alexa lives in the cloud, so she's always getting smarter, adding new capabilities that are delivered to your device automatically.  Using Alexa on your Vuzix Blade AR Smart Sunglasses is simple and hands-free – just ask, and Alexa will respond instantly.

Today Vuzix released is latest video on the Vuzix Blade™ AR Smart Glasses running Alexa which can be seen on the Vuzix YouTube channel.
