VSP will be the Exclusive Eyecare and Eyewear Provider for Sacramento Kings Star
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- VSP Global, the industry leader in the delivery of eyecare and eyewear, announced an exclusive two-year global sponsorship agreement with 2009-2010 NBA Rookie of the Year, Tyreke Evans. VSP will be the exclusive eyecare and eyewear provider for Evans, and Evans will help VSP raise awareness about eye health and other eye-related issues.
"The key reason VSP has decided to partner with Tyreke is that he understands whether you're on or off the basketball court, maintaining healthy vision plays an important part in your everyday life," said Kate Renwick-Espinosa, Chief Marketing Officer, VSP Global. "We believe that working with Tyreke will enable VSP to reach new consumers who may not be as familiar with our message, our brands and our offering."
"Basketball is a game that's all about vision. VSP is dedicated to helping protect eyes and providing the best in eyecare and eyewear," said Tyreke Evans. "I am proud to represent them on and off the court."
Evans plays professional basketball for the Sacramento Kings and was named Rookie of the Year last week. He's the fourth rookie ever to average 20 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds per game, the only others to accomplish this feat are Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and Lebron James.
