Vonage Mobile® App Brings New Functionality to Android™ Wear

Popular Communications App Includes Gesture Support for Smartwatch Users

HOLMDEL, N.J., Dec. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Whether running into a meeting with their phone in their pocket or rushing to catch the train with it tucked in their bag, multi-tasking consumers don't always have the luxury of having their smartphone readily available to respond to a call, or may not even be aware someone is trying to reach them.

To help busy consumers communicate how and when they choose, Vonage announced today that its Vonage Mobile® App is now integrated with Android^TMWear. The App allows smartwatch users to reject incoming calls and reply to text messages without having to pull out their phone. Users simply reject a call with a double tap gesture that automatically replies to the caller with a pre-set "can't talk right now" message.

Android Wear users can respond to text messages with voice-to-text functionality or with one of five preset responses:

I'll talk to you soon
