Vonage Comments on FCC Decision to Explore Direct Access to Phone Numbers

HOLMDEL, N.J., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Vonage (NYSE: VG) released the following statement in response to the FCC's decision today to adopt a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on direct access to telephone numbers for VoIP providers, and grant Vonage a limited trial of direct access to telephone numbers.

"Vonage appreciates the work of Chairman Genachowski, the Commissioners and Commission staff in preparing the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on direct access for VoIP providers, and we thank the FCC for granting a limited trial of direct access to telephone numbers to Vonage and other VoIP providers," said Kurt Rogers, chief legal officer for Vonage.
