Von Maur Department Store Will NOT Be Open on Thanksgiving

DAVENPORT, Iowa, Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Von Maur Department Store announced today that it will again be closed on Thanksgiving to ensure employees have ample opportunity to spend time with family and friends over the holiday.  For more than 140 years, Von Maur has remained closed on all major holidays, including Easter, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Von Maur operates 30 stores in 14 states throughout the country. All stores will close early Thursday, November 26 at 4:00 p.m., will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and will re-open Friday, November 28 at 9:00 a.m. – only one hour earlier than normal business hours. In addition, all Von Maur locations will close at 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and will remain closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.
