"Our Celebration of Caring award winners represent the very best of Teradata – employees committed to making a meaningful difference in our communities as they uphold our tenet of corporate social responsibility. We are proud of their accomplishments, and pleased to recognize them for their significant volunteer contributions."

Sherri Morgan, director of community relations, Teradata Corporation. |
"These winners show a dedication to community that drives them to give to their communities selflessly on their own time far in excess of the four paid volunteer days per year they receive from Teradata. These associates are part of the equation to improve the communities where they live and work by contributing their time talent and treasure to one or more charities where they can make a difference."

The 2013 Teradata Cares community relations volunteer program winners were selected from Teradata's more than 10,000 employees worldwide. They are:
2013 Americas Employee of the Year – Nicole Cline, Marathon, Florida
Nicole Cline has volunteered for Precious Paws Rescue, Inc. in Marathon, Fla., since 2002 and serves as a foster home for rescue animals. In that time, she has given more than 2600 hours and fostered more than 200 dogs. Her volunteer time is spent taking animals to veterinary appointments, counseling potential adopters, advocating for spay and neuter programs, performing home assessments for potential foster and adoptive homes, and working on the Precious Paws website. In addition, she assisted with the legal paperwork to establish Precious Paws as a non-profit organization.
2013 International Employee of the Year – Srinivas Rao, Hyderabad, India
Srinivas Rao has served as a Teradata Cares Champion in Hyderabad, India since 2008. He inspires associates in India to give back through a variety of causes by coordinating blood drives, organizing a scholarship program for students who could not meet college expenses, and leading fundraising for families in need. His leadership was instrumental in encouraging employees to be fit, in promoting the use of reusable jute bags, and urging the purchase of handwork done by mentally challenged children.
2013 Team of the Year – Phool Nagar Project Team, GCC Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan
When associates in the Teradata Global Consulting Centers in Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan, learned of the Phool Nagar School, a school that provides free education to underprivileged children at Kot Bhai Khan and adjacent villages, they put together a plan to support the school. They collected and analyzed data to understand the educational landscape of the area. Then they planned activities with the children and with the 500 families in the area to encourage them to enroll their children. They also collected donations for sports items, books, stationery, chocolates, educational materials and learning toys. Finally, they made the four-hour journey to the school to meet with teachers and parents, play with the children and deliver the donated goods. The team plans to have an ongoing volunteer relationship with Phool Nagar School.
2013 Office of the Year – Atlanta, Georgia
In 2013, volunteer efforts by Atlanta office associates benefitted thousands of lives. The Atlanta office has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with North Fulton Community Charities and each supports the charity's two largest events: Back to School Fair and Adopt-a-Family holiday program. Teradata was the primary financial sponsor for the Back to School Fair and associates donated school supplies, stuffed backpacks and distributed them to more than 1,300 children in need. More than 80 associates supported families during the holidays. Teradata was the lead sponsor for the Habitat for Humanity annual technology house, and 40 associates volunteered. Associates in the Atlanta office also mentored and sponsored several FIRST robotics teams and regional competition, or serve other non-profits.
