VoltDB to Showcase Power of Fast Data at Strata + Hadoop World

BEDFORD, Mass., March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- VoltDB will be exhibiting at Strata + Hadoop World, taking place March 29-31, 2016 at the San Jose Convention Center. Located in Booth #1037, the company will demonstrate the impact of fast data for both businesses and developers. The booth will feature VoltDB v6's new geospatial and XDCR (geographically distributed database replication) capabilities, as well as an industrial IoT demo. The company also will have tattoo artist Marky Makeup at the booth on Wednesday and Thursday to provide free spray tattoos.

VoltDB Founding Engineer John Hugg will present at Strata + Hadoop World on transactional streaming, describing what's possible when systems integrate event processing with state management in a consistent, transactional way. The line between event/stream processing and traditional operational systems has begun to blur. Hugg will explain how the event-stream focus loosens up processing constraints and makes scale easier to manage.
