A highly accomplished sales leader, Pogany has held a number of sales and management positions over his 20 year career. Coming directly from Gomez, where he spent the last nine years, Pogany was most recently responsible for managing the North American SaaS Enterprise Leadership team. Prior to Gomez, Pogany served in a number of senior level sales positions at Netopia, Dictaphone Corporation, Executone and Voicecom.
At VoltDB, Pogany will be responsible driving sales of the company's flagship database offering, VoltDB, the latest of which (version 3.0) was released to market earlier this month. VoltDB is an in-memory database purpose built for high-velocity big data applications.
"Mike is an accomplished sales leader who understands how to identify and drive business value for his customers," said Reading. "With the industry's most advanced high-velocity database, VoltDB sought to establish sales leadership to drive our technology into new markets and inspire our customers to create an entirely new generation of big data applications. Mike has demonstrated success at every level throughout his career. He is ideally suited for this role and we are very excited to have him as part of the VoltDB team."
The news of Pogany's hiring comes just two months after the announcement of Eric Sansonetti and Mark Hydar joining VoltDB.
