Voith Turbo announces new Vice President Americas for Power, Oil, and Gas -- Marine

HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Voith Turbo has announced that Javier Suarez will be the new Vice President Americas for the Power, Oil, and Gas division's Marine group. Suarez will be based at the division's regional headquarters in Houston, working with Ron Wilson, who is President Americas. Suarez will also be a member of the global Voith Marine management team. He has extensive experience in the marine industry, including four years at Voith Turbo as Sales Area Manager for Voith Schneider Propellers, based in Germany.

"Javier brings tremendous experience and know-how across many fields to our marine business and will be an asset to Voith Turbo in the Americas."

Suarez's experience is vast, and includes not only sales, but stints as a naval architect, an application engineer, project manager, surveyor, and quality control officer. In addition to Germany and now the United States, Suarez has also worked in Spain. He studied Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid.
