Voice Mobility Installs UCN 250 at The State University of New York in Potsdam
VANCOUVER, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Voice Mobility International, Inc. (TSX: VMY, OTCBB: VMII and FWB: VMY), a Vancouver-based developer and provider of carrier and enterprise messaging solutions, today announced a new UCN 250 installation at the State University of New York in Potsdam (SUNY Potsdam).
SUNY Potsdam has migrated approximately 5000 mailboxes and caller application mailboxes from their OCTel 250 to the Voice Mobility UCN 250. The entire migration was accomplished with no user interface modifications and as a result no training. Group messaging and collaboration is accomplished through custom system distribution lists and WEB based reporting is being utilized for troubleshooting and message delivery verification. SUNY has decided to incrementally roll-out unified messaging and unified communications features which include email notifications of voice and fax messages, private fax PDF delivery to email accounts and find me follow me for power users.
"We are very pleased with the UCN 250 implementation here at SUNY Potsdam," said Brenda Bennett, Telecommunications Manager at SUNY Potsdam. "The seamless migration from our legacy OCTel 250 platform went better than expected and as a result we did not have any user disruption, a key goal for the SUNY Potsdam staff. We look forward to rolling out UM and UC functionality in a controlled fashion to our faculty and student populations."
"We are very pleased that SUNY Potsdam has selected the UCN 250 to replace their OCTel 250 messaging system," said John Gavin, Regional Director of Sales, Voice Mobility. "The UCN 250 implementation has been very successful and we look forward to working with SUNY on additional functionality and potential new locations. The VMI team looks forward to a long mutually beneficial relationship with SUNY."
