New program by Academy Award-winning filmmaker and Producer, Ron Howard, tells stories of heroic women that have served in the U.S. military
MIAMI, May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- This month, Vme TV will premiere "Heroinas Anonimas: La Historia de Patriotas Americanas," a two-part documentary that highlights the sacrifices of some of the highest-ranking women in the history of the United States armed forces. In this special program, renowned producer Ron Howard brings the audience first hand accounts of brave women who have fought for the nation. The documentary's first part will air Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. E/P and its second part will air Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10 p.m. E/P.
Every woman that has ever served in the military has done so voluntarily, yet their merits and achievements commonly remain unknown and unsung. "Heroinas Anonimas: La Historia de Patriotas Americanas," an original production by Maryland Public Television (MPT), tells the stories of some of the bravest women in the history of the United States, including Mildred Manning, the last surviving Prisoner of War from World War II and Lieutenant Colonel Nicole Malachowski, the first female Thunderbird Pilot.
