ViXS Systems Announces XCode(R) 4200 Series in NEC's VALUESTAR All-In-One PC Line
ViXS' XCode(R)4210 and 4206 processors provide video processing, security and mobile support
TORONTO, June 3/PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc., a leading provider of smart network multimedia processors, announced today that NEC Personal Products, Ltd. (NECP) has selected XCode(R) 4210 and 4206 for the latest line of VALUESTAR W and VALUESTAR N All In One Personal Computer's (PC's). The XCode(R) 4200 series processor performs dual HD transcoding of MPEG2 broadcast video to a HD MPEG4 AVC format for HDD storage at 12x compression for the VALUESTAR W, and at 10x compression for the VALUESTAR N. In addition, the XCode(R) 4200 series also performs transcoding of broadcast and stored video content to compatible mobile phone formats for downloading.
XCode(R) 4200 series provides advanced features in VALUESTAR, which include high speed transcoding with support for preview + record and a scheduled 2nd recording with secure video storage using NECP's Digital Rights Management (DRM). The XCode(R) 4210 and XCode(R) 4206 also interface directly to dual ISDB-T/S demodulators/tuners and descramble Japanese Secure Broadcast content using its integrated smart card controller and powerful security engine.
