Vivint Gives Back has been Vivint's philanthropic arm since 2008 and functions solely through employee contributions and Vivint corporate matches. The organization provides cash donations as well as hands-on volunteers to a variety of individuals and charity organizations. The goal of every project is to restore hope for families in need and give Vivint employees a chance to serve in their communities.
"It's truly awe-inspiring how many people Vivint Gives Back has been able to touch," said Holly Mero-Bench, Director of Vivint Gives Back. "Since its inception, the program has had so many unique service opportunities, and all of it is made possible because our company and employees are willing to serve. This year we've seen our employees give more than ever before, roughly $3 million in donations. Because of their generosity, we have been able to impact countless lives."
In 2013, Vivint Gives Back partnered with several philanthropic organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Feed My Starving Children, Boys and Girls Club, and Choice Humanitarian.
The organization's most encompassing endeavor of the year was the Sub for Santa program in December. Nearly 2,000 Vivint employees and executives came together to wrap and deliver Christmas presents to more than 3,000 kids in 125 communities throughout North America. These locations included several local elementary schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, homeless shelters, and women's shelters. Altogether the volunteers donated 5,000 hours of service by shopping for gifts, wrapping them, and even delivering them in person. The effort raised $228,000 from employee donations and a corporate dollar-for-dollar match from Vivint.
