Viva Wyndham Resorts® Launches Health and Wellness Program at its Two Dominican Properties in La Romana

MIAMI, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Viva Wyndham Resorts® announces the launch of "Viva Eco Wellness by MG," a health and wellness program at its two properties in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The program combines a healthy lifestyle with memorable Viva Wyndham vacation experiences and underscores the all-inclusive resort company's commitment to providing guests with fresh and innovative options.

The new health and wellness program, "Viva Eco Wellness MG," named after Marcos Gomez, a renowned personal trainer, will be offered at the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach and Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The program combines physical activity with a nutrition plan designed to improve health and facilitate weight loss while guests enjoy their vacation. 

"Viva Eco Wellness by MG" is designed especially for adults of all ages who want to get in shape, learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle and lose weight, while simultaneously vacationing in a comfortable, fun, beach environment. The program consists of a training and nutrition program, a training and documentation plan, guides and manuals, and highly trained personnel with supervision by Gomez who has trained celebrated Dominican athletes recognized worldwide such as open water swimmer Marcos Diaz and track and field world champion Felix Sanchez. 

Program activities include outdoor and beach exercises, games to learn about nutrition, yoga, integration with regular hotel activities, challenges and more. As an added value, once guests return home, they will be able to follow up on their personalized program online to monitor results based on the achieved goals and continue to progress and benefit from the program with recommendations and consultations.

The "Viva Eco Wellness by MG program" is $180USD for a seven day program. Guests have the option to choose the number of days that they will participate in the program prior to or after their arrival.
