Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Offers Special Rate for the Junkanoo Summer Festival

MIAMI, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort, located in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas, is offering guests a special rate for the Junkanoo Summer Festival. This year's festival will be held at Taino Beach and will take place on July 5, 12 and 19 from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. The all-inclusive rate at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach is $114 per person, per night, double occupancy.

Junkanoo is the national festival of the Bahamas representing its culture and heritage. The festival will feature Junkanoo performances, The Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band, Rake and Scrape, Quadrille Dancing, authentic cuisine, artisans, and more. Kids can play games in the Junkakids Korner and visitors and Bahamians can engage in "Bush Tea" Tasting after a tour of the nature trail, which is lined with local herbal plants and trees, labeled with beverage and medicinal purposes.

Additionally, kids 12 years of age and younger can stay, play and eat free during the Junkanoo Festival at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach. Parents and children alike can also enjoy Viva Wyndham's Kids Club, a supervised activities program for kids ages four through 12. The kids stay free offer is based on a two child maximum.
