SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vitamin Angels, a charity that provides nutritional support to children and mothers in need, will host an opening night reception for Supply Industry executives on Wednesday, October 5 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at TopGolf™ at the MGM Grand. The reception, which coincides with the opening of Informa's SupplySide West Expo, will provide an opportunity for members from across the industry to join together and support Vitamin Angels' fight against childhood malnutrition. Guests will enjoy one-of-a-kind golf games, delicious food, and networking with their industry peers.
"The vitamin supply industry is and has been a key supporter of Vitamin Angels since we began our work providing vitamins to children and mothers in need around the world," said Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels. "We are excited to be able to hold an event while at SupplySide West and thank our supporters who make our work possible. Our gratitude for our supporters is a direct outpouring of the thanks and sentiments we hear from the women and children we reach."
To date, through sponsorships and individual registrations for the reception, $170,000 has been raised toward directly supporting Vitamin Angels' programs in the US and around the world. The event is open to the public. Individual registration for the event starts at $125 and sponsorships are still available. Those interested in sponsoring or attending can sign up at vitaminangels.org/topgolf.
Following the event, Vitamin Angels will be exhibiting at SupplySide West throughout the week. Attendees can stop by booth #D145 to learn more about the organization and how to get involved.
Vitamin Angels would like to thank the sponsors who have committed to supporting the event: Pharmachem, DSM, Barlean's, Ingredients by Nature, Fermenta Biotech Limited, Bioriginal, Nutraclick, AIDP, Coca Cola VEB, Pharmavite, and Nubreed Nutrition.
