SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, April 15 Vitamin Angels launches "Motherhood Is...", a Mother's Day campaign celebrating the universal truths of motherhood. The campaign, which will run through May 15, will highlight a different aspect of motherhood each week by sharing stories of the mothers their work supports and information on the importance of good nutrition for mothers and their babies. "There is so much that goes into being a mom. For the moms we serve, the job is made that much harder because they lack access to basic nutrition," said Vitamin Angels' president and founder Howard Schiffer. The campaign will feature a live event during the Mom 2.0 Summit in Atlanta, GA on Friday, May 2 and a resulting video and photography slideshow to debut just before Mother's Day.

The campaign is a Mother's Day celebration meant to raise awareness for the organization, placing emphasis on the essential role of good nutrition for the health and safety of mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding as well as for the babies and young children during their key developmental years.
