Vista Partners Initiates Coverage on PositiveID Corporation; $0.70 Target Price

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vista Partners announced today that it has initiated coverage on PositiveID Corporation (OTCBB: PSID) ("The Company" or "PSID"); with a twelve month target price of $0.70. Ross Silver, Principal Analyst at Vista Partners stated, "The Company's MicroFluidic Systems subsidiary could represent a considerable near-term catalyst if PSID is able to successfully secure a portion of the $3.1B Homeland Defense BioWatch pathogen detection contract.  The Company is partnered with one of the largest defense contractors in the world in Hamilton Sunstrand, a division of United Technologies, (NYSE ticker: UTX) which has a $70B market cap.  The Company and its partner are competing against Northrop Grumman for this contract and we believe the Company has a good chance of securing a portion of that contract as the Department of Homeland Defense could come under considerable public scrutiny if the contract was awarded to only one entity as that would call into question the competitive bidding process."
