From September 20 through October 5, 2016, contestants from all over the world will create original visuals using Visme's built-in assets, which include professionally designed, ready-to-use customizable templates, a vast searchable image and icon library, and over one hundred fonts. Participants can sign up at http://www.visme.co/contest. No design skills are required.
The top 30 most-voted submissions via Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn will enter the final round in which a panel of five judges will choose the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
In order to encourage non-designers to participate, 20% of the total points awarded to each project by the judges will be based on the quality of the design, while 40% will be based on the quality of the content and another 40% on the overall originality of the visual.
The first-place winner of the contest--which is sponsored by Iconfinder, one of the world's most popular icon sites--will receive a cash prize of $2,000, a 1-year membership to Visme's Complete Premium Plan and a 1-year membership to Iconfinder Unlimited Plan.
The second-place winner will be awarded a new GoPro Hero4, as well as a membership to Visme Premium and a 1-year membership to Iconfinder Starter Plan. The third-place winner and the most-voted project will also win the latter two membership prizes.
Additionally during the course of the contest, all participants will receive complementary full access to Visme premium and access all features including the ability to insert video, and record or upload audio to their designs.
"Most of us have never sat down and tried to visualize our lives and careers," said Payman Taei, CEO and founder of Visme.
"Several of us at Visme, including myself, attempted to do this using our simple drag-and-drop tool, and we found it was a fun and enriching experience. I think it will help many 'non-designers' tap into their inner creativity and even reevaluate their life and career goals."
At the same time Visme launches its first contest, it will also introduce an entire category of infographic resumes, with 60 custom-designed templates--in both minimalist and full-color versions-- across 30 different job categories, from marketing and sales to computer engineering and finance.
The winner will be announced on October 15, 2016 on Visme's contest page at:
