SAN ANTONIO, March 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As spring break wraps up for schools across San Antonio, Visionworks is bringing Little League® players as their guests to H-E-B Big League Weekend at the Alamodome for a weekend of baseball activities. On March 18, a team from the Windcrest Little League will have the opportunity to experience game day from the Visionworks suite including the chance to get up close with MLB players and watch batting practice from the field.
As a continuation of Visionworks' national partnership with Little League®, the company is working at the local level with Little Leagues in the Greater San Antonio area to provide additional resources, while supporting training programs, promoting advocacy, and networking. The outreach includes a donation of approximately 200 Let's Go See vouchers from Visionworks to help support Little League's Urban Initiative programming within their Southwest Region. Each voucher will provide a free comprehensive eye exam and a pair of glasses to the Windcrest Little League players.
"Our commitment to raising awareness of the importance of annual eye exams for children is of the utmost importance and being able to provide a unique experience for these kids is something the entire Visionworks team is proud of," said Jim Eisen, president and CEO of HVHC Inc., and president of Visionworks. "We're excited to bring our love of the game home and offer aspiring baseball players in our local community the Big League Weekend experience."
