VisionChina Media Partners with Chinese Academy of Sciences for Mass Transportation Big Data Analysis and Management
BEIJING, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- VisionChina Media Inc. ("VisionChina Media" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: VISN), China's largest out-of-home digital television advertising network on mass transportation systems and the leading provider of urban mass transit Wi-Fi, today announced a strategic partnership (the "Partnership") with Chinese Academy of Sciences ("CAS") to collaborate on the data classification and data mining of VisionChina Media's urban mass transit Wi-Fi Internet service, "VIFI". With VIFI's large user base, the Partnership aims to analyze user behaviors and preferences to provide highly targeted services with better quality.
By targeting the public transportation market under the "Internet Plus" concept, VisionChina Media and CAS will establish a laboratory together to develop an integrated Big Data management platform and a mobile application and service system for public transportation passengers. The Partnership also allows the Company and CAS to build China's first research and transaction platform based on the Big Data collected from public transportation services.

At the end of October 2015, VisionChina Media had secured exclusive concession rights for bus Wi-Fi services on approximately 80 thousand buses covering major tier one and tier two cities in China, and had launched Wi-Fi services on approximately 30 thousand buses with over 10 million registered users.
