Visage Production Approved For Mentor Protégé Program
OKLAHOMA CITY, March 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With budget cuts occurring in every phase of Federal and State Government, there is one program that helps to grow small and medium enterprises. U.S. Small Business Administration has in its arsenal a Mentor Protégé Program that helps the emerging and enterprising firms to work with Major Fortune 500 firms whom are Prime Contractors. Many of these contracts are 5- 20 years in length. This is totally different from the SBA 8A program.
After completing the online tutorial and with identifying whom you desire to partner with, a contract is submitted to SBA between the firms to start the relationship. "Niche markets help you to specialize in what you do and who you are," shares Annette Colbert-Latham. "We are a small film company developing lifestyle entertainment feature and documentary films."
"Our main focus is to share resources which increase our profits," adds Annette. "We are being courted by some of the best companies with name recognition and branding."
Although the process is simple and the multi-million dollar contracts are reasonable, it is still about developing a good courtship. "We are talking about firms such as ABC/Disney, NASA Television and SONY," beams Annette. "I felt like I went through a warzone to come up a winner."
"It is not the battles but the victories that keep me standing," concludes the woman-owned small business owner. "After all the good old boy system is highly visibility and alive."
