VirnetX Opens Gabriel Beta Program
Invites Small and Medium Businesses to Participate
ZEPHYR COVE, Nev., Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSE MKT: VHC), an Internet security software and technology company, announced today that it is expanding its ongoing beta program for its Gabriel Secure Communication Platform™ and Gabriel Collaboration Suite™ of applications to include members of the public. Small and medium businesses wishing to take advantage of this unique opportunity to participate in this beta program ahead of its scheduled public release in first-half of next year, are welcome to find out more information about the program and sign-up for it here. Sign-up is limited and participants will be selected based on meeting the program's qualifications.
"We are very excited about expanding our beta program to include new small and medium businesses. This will help us gain valuable insight into new deployment environments as we continue to make our products more robust," said Robert Short, VirnetX CTO and Chief Scientist. "Gabriel is a powerful secure communication platform offering significant benefits for today's mobile workplace. We believe that this public beta is an important step towards final product release in the first-half of 2015."
VirnetX's Gabriel Secure Communication Platform™, unlike other collaboration and communication products and services on the market today, does not require access to your confidential data and minimizes the threat of hacking and data mining. VirnetX's Gabriel Secure Communication Platform™ enables individuals and organizations to maintain complete ownership and control over their personal and confidential data, secured within their own private network, while enabling authorized secure encrypted access from anywhere at any time.
VirnetX Gabriel Collaboration Suite™, a set of applications that run on top of VirnetX Gabriel Secure Communication Platform™, has undergone extensive internal testing with employees, contractors, shareholders and private beta testers. Schmid Tool & Engineering, a full service contract machine shop, has been using Gabriel for its office communication and collaboration.
"We are an 80 person company and the Gabriel office suite instantly filled a gap for inner office communications for our business," said Eric Schmid, Vice President of Schmid Tool & Engineering. "Gabriel was easy to deploy and I was greatly impressed with the mobile application having all the same productive communication tools in a private, secure environment where we can control all the data."
VirnetX's Gabriel Collaboration Suite™ enables seamless and secure cross-platform communications between coworker's devices. The following applications are included in the current release and can be easily accessed through the Gabriel interface:
- SECURE CHAT- allows you to quickly send and receive text, files and screen shots
- SECURE SHARE- allows you to grant coworkers read/write access to desired folders
- SECURE VIDEO/VOICE- provides secure conferencing capabilities for any Gabriel client
- SECURE MAIL- allows you to send email and attachments directly from sender to recipient without requiring a centralized mail server
- SECURE SYNC/BACKUP- allows you to quickly push single files or automatically backup your files to one or multiple Gabriel destinations
