Virginia Ballot Comes Alive With New Technology by Democracy Live

RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Virginia voters on Tuesday have a new voting tool to decide how they are going to vote. Democracy Live, in partnership with Microsoft Corp. has launched an interactive, multimedia balloting tool available to every voter in Virginia.

The app is called LiveBallot https://www.liveballot.com. For the first time ever, voters can watch a multimedia version of their specific ballot, share their ballot selections and see who is funding each candidate on their individual ballot.

Virginia was selected as one of two states in the U.S. to pilot this new balloting technology. Democracy Live, in partnership with Microsoft, is the leading provider of Web-based balloting in Virginia and throughout the U.S.
