SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin America Inc. (NASDAQ: VA) today reported its preliminary operational results for October 2015. The airline's traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 11.9 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 11.5 percent higher from the same month in 2014.
Load factor was 82.3 percent, an increase of 0.3 points from October 2014. The number of onboard passengers increased 19.8 percent from the same month last year.
