Vine App Improves Its Notifications Feature, Gains Important Backer in Q Link Wireless CEO Issa Asad
DANIA, Fla., Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Earlier this month, Vine announced new features that will allow users to view all of their favorite accounts' Vine updates, as well as a way for users to update their notifications settings. In light of Vine's improvements, social media expert, best-selling author and tech entrepreneur, Issa Asad, has re-declared his support for the video-sharing application.

"Vine isn't dead," said Asad, who is the CEO of Q Link Wireless, LLC, a subsidiary of Quadrant Holdings, LLC, located in Dania, Florida.
Several social media experts have written off Vine ever since Instagram incorporated their own video sharing feature in June 2013. Vine was acquired by Twitter in October in 2012, and Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, is Vine's direct competitor in video-sharing applications.
Vine also recently joined with the Xbox One, a gaming console. Now, Vine is integrated on the Xbox app and is accessible in certain regions. The Xbox app unlocks certain Vine features only available for those specific Xbox users.
Asad, who has written a book about social media marketing on Vine called Instant Profits with Vine, believes that Vine has always been a worthwhile platform for social media marketing. "A Vine video is still a fun way get information from a business out to the public," said Asad.
Through Asad's book, social media marketers and business professionals can learn how to post videos that are up to six seconds long, and how these mini-movies can help inform the public about businesses. "These snippets are often behind-the-scenes looks at what happens in a business so followers can learn and be entertained."
According to Asad, Vine is best used in conjunction with other social media platforms. He also warns brands against posting too much information on their Vine account. "A Vine artist shouldn't release all about a new product; instead, use a Vine to raise the interest level prior to a big reveal," explained Asad.
Vine has garnered some welcome attention to their company with the announcement of these new features. While critics have stated that the "end of Vine is near," Vine is hoping their changes reveal they are still in the fight against Instagram.
"Vine is not only improving, but showing plenty of evidence that they are an integral marketing skill for savvy social media professionals," said Asad.
