WASHINGTON, NEW YORK and BOSTON, April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ViewLift, a leading OTT content distribution and monetization platform, announced today that it has launched 32 digital properties for its clients Monumental Sports Network and Major League Lacrosse.
Monumental Sports Network's new digital platform, powered by ViewLift, includes 22 separate properties that are associated with Monumental Sports & Entertainment's four professional sports teams and venues, including the NHL's Washington Capitals, who finished the season with the League's best record and began their first-round playoff series Thursday. Monumental Sports Network native apps are available for iOS and Android devices (including Chromecast), as well as Roku and Fire TV. "Sports fans in the Mid-Atlantic region want their sports video on their favorite devices, whether on-the-go or at home," said Monumental Sports Network vice president and general manager Zach Leonsis. "ViewLift has enhanced that fan experience, extending the reach of our exclusive and original content programming to mobile and OTT streaming devices."
Major League Lacrosse unveiled its League website, together with those of its nine professional teams, in advance of the League's April 23 opening weekend for its 16th season. The new look offers significantly more video, together with the key MLL activities on the outdoor field, and in the teams' communities. David Gross, Commissioner of the League, said "The fastest sport on grass deserved a new look on the web. Our partners at ViewLift created a bright, wide open site that mirrors our game, and features the huge amount of video material we can offer to fans, together with schedules, data, special events and more."
"Passionate viewers want the content they care about, anywhere, any time and on every device," noted CEO Rick Allen. "Our job for innovative sports leaders like MSN and MLL is to deliver a beautiful experience with their trademark look and feel that nonetheless maximizes the unique features and functionality of every device. We've applied our end-to-end platform for our sports clients, for life-long learning providers like The Great Courses, and for media giants like Tegna, and for others, around the world."
