Video of PA Gaming Control Board Meetings and Hearings Now Available on Web Site
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has become the first Commonwealth agency to offer video of public meetings via the Internet.
Beginning today, videos of the 6 public board meetings or hearings dating back to May 13, 2010 are available on the PGCB's web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us, with meetings added soon after they occur. Visitors can access the archived videos meeting page from a link on the PGCB web site home page, or from the calendar on its Board Meetings tab.
While the entire meeting or hearing is available for view, in order to better help the public locate portions of a meeting in which they have an interest, videos are also bookmarked by agenda item so viewers can easily jump to just that specific section of the video.
Additional information on all meeting and hearings, including agendas, minutes, transcripts and presentation, dating back to 2004 continue to be available on the PGCB web site under the Board Meetings tab.
"Since its inception, the Gaming Control Board has continued to improve the transparency of its work to the public," says Chairman Greg Fajt. "Our efforts to provide video access of our meetings is another example of how we have taken the lead in providing the public with easy access to the business of this agency including open meetings and a wealth of important information via our web site."
The PGCB is providing the videos in collaboration with Granicus, Inc., a firm which provides comprehensive solutions for creating, managing and distributing live and on-demand streaming media content to support and enhance public meeting communications, internal training and public education programs for government.
