Video Game Nomination History Revealed with 2015 NAVGTR Call for Entries

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NAVGTR CORP. -- The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers has announced a call for entries in its 15th annual awards program. 

Historically, Ubisoft has been the most nominated developer with 212 nominations.  The company has also led the Game Developers Choice Awards with 39 nominations. 

In order of highest NAVGTR nomination totals, the top game industry developers are Ubisoft®, Nintendo®, Sony Computer Entertainment, Capcom®, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Rockstar Games, BioWare®, Naughty Dog, and Konami®. 

The closest competitors are BioWare® and Naughty Dog, with only one nomination separating the two companies.  Only two nominations separate Sony and Capcom®.  The same difference applies to Naughty Dog and Konami® as well. 

Many of these same companies constitute the top publishers as well, joined by Microsoft®, Activision®, and SEGA®. 

The most nominated individuals are Shigeru Miyamoto, Hideo Kojima, Takashi Tezuka, Dan Houser, Fumito Ueda, Leslie Benzies, Peter Molyneux, Tetsuya Nomura, Tim Schafer, Atsushi Inaba, Craig Conner, Akihiro Hino, Jon Burton, Casey Hudson, James Worrall, David Cage, Raphael Lacoste, Tsutomu Kouno, Akira Yamaoka, and the late Satoru Iwata. 

Submissions for the 2015 calendar year are accepted at http://navgtr.org/entries. 

The due date for entries (or requests for extensions) is Monday, November 23, 2015.  Nominations will be announced Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Winners will be announced Monday, March 21, 2016.
