The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) helped select this year's three outstanding schools based on their academic improvements such as an increase in graduation rates and participation in Advanced Placement courses at East Morton High School, an increase in students meeting university admission requirements at San Fernando High School, and Meadowcreek High School was recently recognized as an AP Honors School by the Georgia Department of Education.
During the school visits, PeeWee will talk to students about the importance of education, pursuing their goals and dreams, and perform a set of his most popular songs. Students will also have the opportunity to ask him questions and visit the McDonald's FiestaTour on campus. In addition, students will receive information about the RMHC®/HACER® scholarship program, which awards four $100,000 scholarships to deserving Hispanic students annually, along with local scholarships throughout the country.
