FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale brings motor racing excitement to the road: this new and extreme Gallardo model, of which only 150 will be produced, is based on the race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world's fastest single make series.

The excitement of the road car is derived from the similarities shared with the race version: the same V10 power plant; an enormous, and manually variable, rear spoiler for increased stability during tight, high-speed driving; a removable engine hood with quick-release system; a dry weight of just 1340 kg through use of lightweight carbon fiber technologies; and breathtaking performance. The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale sprints from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mp/h) and a 570 hp output producing an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kg per horsepower.
Finished in the traditional Italian racing colour of red 'Rosso Mars', and with grey 'Grigio Telesto' and white 'Bianco Monocerus' as an option, carbon fiber features throughout the car with a sporty and minimalist black and red interior. This latest Gallardo model features Lamborghini's permanent four-wheel drive and robotized e-gear transmission, and it's the performance of the car, which is specially set up to meet its dynamic potential, that ensures a breathtaking driving experience: precise suspension, ultra light 19" wheels, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, a carbon-ceramic braking system on request and a host of other options to make the car racier or more luxurious: dependent on the driver's preferences.
